Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan – Zonal Institute of Education & Training, Chandigarh, established in September 2009, is one of the five ZIETs of KVS. Situated in Sector 33C, Chandigarh, the capital city of Haryana and Punjab, the institute has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting Educational Trainings, Workshops, Orientation Programmes, and Induction Courses for the content enrichment, skill development, attitude building, and holistic personality development of Officers, Teachers, and Non-teaching staff of Kendriya Vidyalaya across Chandigarh, Delhi, Dehradun, Gurugram, and Jammu Regions. The KVS Training Policy envisions providing quality training to equip teachers and staff with the attitude, skills, and knowledge essential for their professional growth. This, in turn, enables them to contribute effectively to the overall development of the students entrusted to their care.     Six day induction programme for newly recruited VPs at ZIET Chandigarh has been highly fruitful & makes me more equipped and confident to shoulder the responsibilities of VP. Course Director Sh. Mukesh Kumar, DC and Director ZIET Chandigarh enlightened the participants with his vast knowledge and experience in the field of education. KVS ZIET Chandigarh provided us a chance to interact with the galaxy of intellectuals. Ms. Chandana Mandal, JC (Training) KVS HQ, Sh. B.K. Behra, DC (Acad.) KVS HQ, ACD Sh. Anil Kumar, AC, Jammu Region, Sh. Jugal Kishore, AC, KVS RO Chandigarh and many more speakers and be benefitted from their experience. The course content was designed in an excellent manner and struck a perfect balance between informative and interactive. Various facilities i.e. stay arrangement and foods were also of superb quality. Faculty at ZIET Chandigarh is highly cooperative and helpful. I heartily thank KVS & ZIET Chandigarh for providing this platform and wish to attend such more training programmes at ZIET Chandigarh so as to sharpen my skills further.

    The Induction Programme for Vice Principal (05th February to 10th 2024 at KVS ZIET Chandigarh) aimed to enhance Academic Leadership, promote Student Discipline and welfare, Administrative Oversight, Academic Supervision and Development, Curriculum Development and Innovation and professional development. The contents of the workshop were comprehensive and well-structured. It covered a wide range of advanced topics including NEP-2020, NCFFLN, NCFSE, POCSO etc. providing a logical progression of learning. Course Director Sh. Mukesh Kumar, DC and Director ZIET Chandigarh delivery was exceptional. He demonstrated in-depth knowledge and expertise in all areas and effectively conveyed complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner. His usage of real-world examples kept participants actively involved throughout the Programme. ACD Sh. Anil Kumar, AC Jammu Region, RP Sh. Subhash Chand, Principal KV Sector 31 D Chandigarh and RP Dr. Harjinder Kaur, Principal KV 3BRD Chandigarh encouraged a high level of interactivity. Participants were actively encouraged to ask questions, share their experiences and engage in group discussions and activities. This interactive approach fostered a collaborative learning environment and facilitated knowledge sharing among participants. Course Coordinator Smt. Aparna Ray, TA (Eng.) and all the Training Associates were very humble and affectionate. They were always ready to help and took every effort for our ease.     The 05 Day workshop organized at ZIET Chandigarh on “Capacity Building for office staff” from 12.02.2024 to 16.02.2024 was fruitful for participants. The Resource Persons took valuable sessions on topics related to office work, Tally, GeM, Annual Accounts, Condemnation, TA/ DA, leave Rules, Annual Budget, Budget Sheet etc. They also resolved the queries of participants effectively.
