Ans: The main mandate of ZIET is to help develop professional competence of different cadres of employees (PGT, TGT, PRT, Lib., Non-Teaching staff) working in KVS in the field of education.
To fulfill the mandate, ZIET has been conducting workshops and refresher courses every year and In-service courses as per the guidelines provided by KVS Head Quarter.

Ans: Normal Working hours 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (including tea time and lunch time).

Ans: ZIET conducts Workshops and In-service courses, Induction programmes, Orientations for the professional development of teachers teaching in the Kendriya Vidyalayas all over the country.

Ans: It covers five regions of KVS- Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Gurugram and Jammu.

Ans: Generally workshops are for 2, 3, 5 days & In-service Courses are in two spells of 12 days and 10 days.

Ans: No, Participants are not allowed to bring their family members during the courses or workshops except in the case, where it become necessary e.g. the attendant with PH candidate or in case of any emergency with the approval of Deputy Commissioner and Director ZIET Chandigarh only. The family member and attendant have to pay the rent and food charges as per norms specified.

Ans: Yes, He can but with prior approval of competent authority and subject to availability in hostel. Moreover he has to pay the room rent as per norms.

Ans: Yes, but with the prior registration and approval of The Director ZIET Chandigarh.
