Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, a dedicated educational organization catering to the quality schooling of over a million students, recognizes the essential need for wholeheartedly committed and professionally competent staff, comprising both teaching and non-teaching. These individuals play a crucial role in shaping the future of the students entrusted to their care. To nurture the professional growth of its employees, the organization advocates a comprehensive and systematic training approach for all its staff.In alignment with this guiding principle outlined in the KVS Training Policy, ZIET Gwalior was established in 2002, followed by ZIET Mumbai in 2003. ZIET Mysore, the third Training Institute, came into existence in April 2004. ZIET Bhubaneswar started functioning since 23rd September 2011.
ZIET Chandigarh was established in September 2009 and it was inaugurated on 10th November 2009 by the then Commissioner KVS, Sh. Ranglal Jamuda IAS. It caters to five feeder regions of North Zone, i.e. Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Gurugram and Jammu that serve the states of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh UT, Uttrakhand, Delhi, and Jammu & Kashmir. Additionally, ZIET Chandigarh also conducts Training and In-service courses for teachers and staff from various parts of India periodically. The institute is situated on a sprawling approximately 4689.763 square yards campus equipped with modern amenities, including the latest gadgets and spacious rooms capable of accommodating over a hundred employees simultaneously, complete with boarding and lodging facilities.
The institute is led by a Director who holds the position of one of the Deputy Commissioners of KVS. The faculty members consist of experienced Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) specializing in various subjects and are designated as Training Associates. In the Primary section, the training is organized by Training Associates (Primary), who are selected from the pool of Headmasters in the Primary section. The Non-Teaching staffs plays a crucial role in providing substantial support for the programs outlined in the Institute.
To address the evolving needs of education and training, diligent efforts are consistently undertaken to identify the requirements of the staff. Based on these insights, meticulously planned programs are designed and executed. The primary objective is to equip employees with the latest knowledge, contemporary skills, and a positive attitude, ensuring that they carry out their responsibilities with effectiveness and efficiency.
